The college is approved and accredited by All India Council for Technical Education as well as The National Board of Accreditation.

JSS Academy of Technical Education is an educational institution for higher education in the field of engineering. Located in Bangalore, the college was established in 1997, under the management of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. The Trust is a registered central body, started by the 23rd pontiff of Suttur Mutt, Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara (JSS) Mahavidyapeetha, in 1954. JSS Academy of Technical Education is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.

JSS Academy of Technical Education Bangalore is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and the courses offered by it are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
